Ingredients
1 pie crust
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
Chocolate sauce (optional)
Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish, trimming and crimping the edges.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in cocoa powder until smooth.
- Remove from heat, whisk in sugar, eggs (one at a time), and vanilla extract until glossy.
- Stir in flour and salt until just combined—do not overmix.
- Pour filling into prepared crust and bake 30–35 minutes, until top is set but center is slightly soft.
- Cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce if desired.
Notes
Use high-quality cocoa powder for the best flavor.
Do not overbake; the center should remain slightly gooey.
