Description

This Decadent Hot Fudge Pie is a chocolate lover’s dream—gooey, rich, and irresistibly indulgent. The buttery pie crust holds a fudgy, brownie-like filling that’s perfect for special occasions or just when you need a little chocolate comfort. This easy dessert recipe is ideal for those seeking quick dessert ideas, crowd-pleasing party treats, or a cozy weekend baking project. Pair it with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or fresh berries for the ultimate chocolate experience.

Ingredients

1 pie crust

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup butter

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

Chocolate sauce (optional)

Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish, trimming and crimping the edges.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat, whisk in sugar, eggs (one at a time), and vanilla extract until glossy.
  4. Stir in flour and salt until just combined—do not overmix.
  5. Pour filling into prepared crust and bake 30–35 minutes, until top is set but center is slightly soft.
  6. Cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce if desired.

Notes

Use high-quality cocoa powder for the best flavor.

Do not overbake; the center should remain slightly gooey.

Add chocolate chips to the batter for extra decadence.
