Ingredients
450 g bowtie pasta (farfalle)
450 g ground beef
225 g smoked sausage, sliced
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
4 cloves garlic, minced
240 ml heavy cream
240 ml chicken broth
100 g Parmesan cheese, grated
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add bowtie pasta and cook until al dente. Drain, reserving 1 cup pasta water.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Brown the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces, then remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, brown the smoked sausage slices until crisp at the edges.
4. Lower heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in Cajun seasoning.
5. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 3–5 minutes, then stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
6. Return beef and sausage to the skillet, add pasta, and toss to coat. Add reserved pasta water if sauce is too thick.
7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with extra Parmesan and a pinch of Cajun seasoning if desired.
Notes
Use Andouille sausage for an extra punch of authentic Cajun flavor.
Add extra cream if you prefer a milder spice profile.
Fresh parsley makes a great garnish for added freshness and color.
