Ingredients
2 large chicken breasts or thighs
250g fettuccine or linguine pasta
1.5 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 small onion, thinly sliced (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Season the chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear the chicken until browned and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
3. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain and reserve some pasta water.
4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic and onion (if using) until soft and fragrant.
5. Add honey and stir to combine. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
6. Return chicken to skillet and coat it in the honey butter sauce.
7. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Use shrimp instead of chicken for a seafood twist.
Add a splash of cream for a richer, silkier sauce.
Use mild Cajun seasoning to keep the heat level kid-friendly.
